The Sands Point Bath and Racquet Club Art Print

from $46.00

Think of the Gold Coast imaginings of F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Some members used to vaguely mention The Great Gatsby intimations in praising this club, because of its 1920's look and lovely North Shore setting. Maybe so, but an outsider is not one to judge.

Founded 1895 as the Sands Point Bath and Tennis Club. Legendary symbol of LIGC affluence, the club was host to frequent famous big bands and celebrities in the roaring 20's. Club included dining, tennis, pool, and boasted 150 cabanas and a large dance floor. A smaller building burned and was rebuilt in 1920. Sadly, when that large structure burned in 1986, the club was never reopened.

It’s a thing of beauty.

A word about sizing!

If you have space for the 13” x 38”, I would highly recommend as the larger the print, the more dramatic and glorious. But any size will look gorgeous.

These are all frame-ready print with approx 2” all around so no need for a mat.
